Life is harsh in the Nairobi slums. Hunger, disease and ignorance create a vicious cycle for the children and families here. Yet despite these heartbreaking conditions, it’s still possible to make a difference.
TRIP OVERVIEW
By partnering with an outstanding organization—Feed the Hungry—Lifetree Adventure volunteers will work in Kibera, Nairobi’s largest slum, located just west of the city. The team will assist with food drops, working with AIDS orphans and spending time at a school that cares for thousands of children.
After serving in Nairobi, the Lifetree Adventure team will head into the bush to extend the love of Christ to people whose most basic of human needs often go unmet. Foremost of these needs is access to clean drinking water. That’s something we take for granted in the US, but it is a precious commodity in many locations around the globe. One of those places is Kitui—a village some 80 miles from Nairobi—and that’s where Lifetree Adventures will be as you help with life-saving water purification projects.
